I welcome the State Government’s announcement of more vaccination clinics for Queensland’s Indigenous communities.
During a visit to Yarrabah this week, I called for the State Government to do more for Indigenous communities as vaccination rates are appallingly low.
We needed the Government to act sooner, with vaccination rates under 20% in our Indigenous communities.
But I’ll always praise things that make sense.
We still have a lot of work to do to ensure Indigenous populations have proper access to vaccines.
This is a step in the right direction.
