Cost of living through the roof under Labor
The Palaszczuk Government’s poor budget management has had a big impact on the cost-of-living crisis in Queensland.
Queensland families are feeling the pinch more than ever as the cost-of-living crisis continues to spiral out of control.
Shadow Treasurer David Janetzki said the soaring cost of petrol and rent has also added thousands of dollars to household budgets.
“Queensland families are hurting more than ever thanks to the Palaszczuk Government’s failure to manage their budget,” Mr Janetzki said.
“Exorbitant government waste and budget blows outs has pushed up fees, charges and taxes in Queensland.
“Under this Government parents and teenagers are also coughing up the most expensive learner licence fees in Australia by a country mile.
“As Labor Ministers tried to talk up cheaper electricity prices in Parliament today, the Palaszczuk Government could not guarantee lower power bills into the future.
“When Labor runs out of money, they come after yours and the cost-of-living crisis is getting worse.
“Queenslanders are missing out on new hospitals, extra nurses, better roads and additional social housing because the State Government can’t balance their books.
“Labor can’t deliver infrastructure projects on time or on budget, and Queenslanders pay the price.
“Whether its water, rego or electricity bills, Queenslanders can no longer afford the Palaszczuk Government.”
